Social Media Policy
Group 6 Social Media Policy
Social media is very important and should first be defined as a web-based yet very mobile technology, used to communicate and transfer communication into interactive dialogue. A policy for such a thing is vital. Blogging sites like Face book and twitter can ultimately become distractions as well as become a loss in company productivity. Furthermore, social media shines a light onto the personal life of everyone and when people represent organizations, the organizations need to have some guidelines about how they are being represented.
Here at group 6 incorporated, we try to ensure that every one of our employees give the up most respect for the company and his/her fellow workers. We have developed the “Group 6’s SIX Social Media Guidelines” to guarantee that every member of staff will read and understand what is needed for good social media understanding.
Group 6’s SIX Social Media Guidelines
1) Be True– Never give false statements or lie about anything, be truthful with anything you put out there 100% of the time
2) Stay Private–Protect your private information by hiding private info so only friends can see it.
3) Stay Polite– If you disagree with someone and have your own opinion on a blog or comment, please keep things appropriate and polite at all times
4) No fight, just flight– If there is a high tense and especially a crisis situation, don’t not get involved
5) Watch your language– when typing any kind of comment, make sure you are not coming off offensive and maintain consideration and respect for those who can view your profile.
6) Picture perfect– When uploading pictures stay appropriate. Do not upload anything detrimental to your image like involving risqué behavior like alcohol or drug use.
